I finally watched this Vantablack video & what the hell. Outside of stealth technology where could this possibly have value? (Insert oppoinions here)

This seems like the most dangerous vehicle on the planet.

I would assume I’m late to the party on this discussion, but seeing this after a few (10) beers, I can’t help but rant a bit.

Does anyone else think this paint should have been showcased on anything other than a motor vehicle

I turned it off as soon as the guy said it’s dark because photons hit the carbon and can’t get in.

On a motor vehicle? Not useful other than to showcase the owner’s poor tastes.

Vantablack does have a few uses, though. Camera and lens engineers go to great lengths to eliminate interior reflections, and a coating that could absorb nearly 100% of light would prove very effective there.

If I were to apply any of those ultr a-black coatings to a car, the first place I’d aim for would be the top of the dashboard, followed by the parcel shelf, to reduce glare.
